
Who can use the app?
The campus app can be used by all members of the university - students, lecturers and staff. It has now been officially published since May 2024.
On which devices can I open the app?
The campus app is a so-called Progressive Web App (PWA). The app is not installed via the App Store, but is opened in the browser like a website. This means that the site can be used on all devices that can open websites: Smartphones, tablets and laptops - regardless of the operating system. However, installed correctly, the appearance of the app is like any other application on your phone.
How do I save the app on my device?
You can easily save the app on your mobile device. We have documented how to do this with pictures:

You can also save the app as a bookmark in your browser like a website.
Is the app available in the App Store?
No. The app is currently not available in the App Store. So that you can also use the Campus App on your laptop or desktop computer, we have developed the app as a so-called progressive web app. However, you can still install the app on your smartphone or tablet and use it like a “normal” app. We explain how to do this here.
With which account do I log in to the app?
You can log in to the app with your regular university account. Simply enter your RZ ID and password.

Where is my data stored?
All data collected from you as well as all data that we process in the background for your usage of the app are exclusively stored on servers of the Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences that are provided for the app. At no time will your data be passed on to third parties.
What personal data is stored?
In addition to your RZ user name, the university's internal LDAP data set is also saved when you log in. As soon as you customize the app to your needs or use it in the lecture, this data is also stored on our server.
Since we do not store your sensitive data (such as your password) on our app servers, some features in the app may require you to enter your password even though you are already logged in.
For the connection of external services (WebUntis, Mensaplan, university information) we always transfer this information anonymously without any connection to you or your data.
How is my data processed?
Your data will only be processed on the servers of the Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences that are intended for the campus app. At no time will your data be passed on to third parties or the integration of external tools, e.g. for telemetry or logging errors on your device.
Your data is also processed on the respective device in usage for the campus app.
If we integrate external services for new features in the future, you will be informed about this and can also decide whether you want to use the corresponding function.
How secure is my data?
The Campus app is currently developed in accordance with common industry standards with a focus on the privacy of our users. ( For more information, check out the section "What data is stored about me?").
In addition to that, our team also consults with auniversity-internal as well as external expert council at regular intervals.

What should I do if I can't find a course?
Please check if the course has been registered in WebUntis. If the course dates are only listed in other tools like Moodle, unfortunately our app cannot show the dates.

Is it possible to add elective courses to my timetable as well?
Yes, every course that has been registered in WebUntis can be added to your timetable. No matter if WPF, FWPF or courses from previous or future semesters or courses from other programs/faculties.
Can I, as a lecturer, make last-minute changes to my course schedule?
As usual, changes to the timetable (e.g. if an appointment is cancelled) can be made in WebUntis. The timetable in our app is based on the WebUntis timetable and is updated every half hour. Accordingly, the changes are automatically transferred to the app.
How reliable is the schedule regarding last-minute changes? Are changes displayed?
The timetable in our app is based on the WebUntis timetable and is updated every half hour. If changes have been made between the update interval, it can take up to half an hour for the changes to be displayed correctly in our app.
Is the quiz anonymous?
Yes, the quiz is completely anonymous. Neither the lecturers nor other students can see who voted for which answer option.

Does the canteen's menu include the ingredients of the dishes?
Is it possible to top up cafeteria credit through the app?
No, unfortunately this feature is not available in our app at the moment.
Is the cafeteria menu filterable by personal preferences?
Currently, there is no filter based on personal preferences available; only filtering by cafeteria location is possible.

Can I also download an official grade transcript via the Campus App?
Unfortunately, this is not currently possible. The app can only display your grades and an overview in the form of statistics. To download an official grade transcript, please continue to use the HIS grade portal.
Can I view my registered exams or register for exams in the app?
No, this is currently not possible via the Campus App. Exam registration and the overview of your registered exams can still only be done via the HIS grading portal.
