Our ProfiMentoring WomenGoTop programme always starts in the winter semester (around the end of October/beginning of November)

Duration:听 2 semesters (until July of the following year)

Time commitment : approx. 4 hours per month, on an individual basis

• The Women's Representative Office will match the tandems in October
• Kick-off event in November
• Regular meetings of tandems consisting of a professional mentor and mentee (arranged individually)
• The support and qualification programme offers themed evenings, qualification seminars and network meetings over the two semesters. These offers are in German, but for "WomenGoTop goes International" we will provide some special offers in English.)
• A Bavaria-wide framework programme provides free access in top-class seminars at participating universities across BayernMentoring.听Please note that this supporting programme is only available in German.
• You will automatically be admitted to our university women's network, KESS (see also KESS network)
• Supervision and coaching are available in case of problems
• The programme concludes with a final networking event in summer

Please note:

As a student,听you commit听to take advantage of the offers within the framework of ProfiMentoring when you register.

This includes 听attending the听kick-off and closing events, taking part 听in听at least two additional activities 听from the accompanying and framework programme听during the year听(soft skills seminars, BayernMentoring framework programme听 throughout Bavaria, network meetings, theme evenings), as well as听regular and proactive contact with your mentor听(at least monthly contact).

The next mentoring cycle will start in the winter semester 2025/26

The kick-off event is expected to take place in November 2025.

Matching the tandems

How are professional mentors and mentees paired?

Each mentoring tandem consists of one mentor and one mentee. A mentor may also support multiple mentees, in which case each pairing forms a separate tandem.

Matching is not based solely on academic or professional fields 听鈥� personal interests and the 听mentee鈥檚 goals 听for guidance also play a major role. Professional background is important, but it鈥檚 often just one factor in a successful mentoring relationship!

Matching is supported by Matorixmatch, a specially developed matching tool that considers not only your professional background but also your personal interests, areas of focus, and more 鈥� all to suggest the best possible matches.

These matches are carefully reviewed by our team and approved if they are a good fit.

It鈥檚 especially important to us that both mentors and mentees feel comfortable in their tandem partnership. That鈥檚 why personal compatibility matters just as much as professional alignment.
