Rules and possibilities for electables can be found in the version of theÌýsyllabus and examination regulations (Studien- und Prüfungsordnung SPO) applicable to you.
For students of the SPO "Elektro- und Informationstechnik" 2024 applies the following:
- The semesters 1 - 3 are the same for all students. That means, all modules in those semesters are compulsory. The semesters 1 and 2, which form the orientation phase of your studies, also contain basic modules like maths and physics. Semester 3 on the other hand contains as part of the foundations course solely modules with electrotechnical content
- From semester 4 onwards, one of the following five possible focus topics has to be chosen:
- Automation and robotics
- Electronic systems
- Energy technology
- Communication systems
- Information systems
- During the semesters 4 - 7, you have to take required elective modules specific to your focus topic to the amount of at least 30 credits
- From the catalouge of required elective modules you have to pass another 35 CP. Within this scope, up to 5 CP can be chosen from so-calledÌý"´¡°Â-¹ó䳦³ó±ð°ù²Ô" (non technical general courses). Also, a technical project work to the amount of 10 credits has to be completed
- Semester 6 is the practical semester, during which a practical job of 20 weeks has to be completed. The internship position is organised by the students themselves, which means that there is also a choice there
- This also applies to the bachelor's thesis. Topic and advisor are also chosen by the students. The thesis is assigned to the last semester and can also be completed in the industry
